Law Enforcement & Military Defensive Tactics
The IKMAF’s Law Enforcement Defensive Tactics (LEDT) training and certification program is designed to serve the policing needs of Law Enforcement Officers (LEOs), security guards, private detectives, bodyguards, and private citizens who wish to explore the skills of LEDT. There are two types of LEDT certification, one is a Certificate of Proficiency of LEDT and the other is a LEDT Instructor Certification. The LEDT program explores methods of self-protection, safe mechanics of restraining and control procedures, and the applicable legal considerations. IKMAF issues its own LEDT certifications based on the considerable experience of Ian A. Cyrus, former FBI Special Agent and FBI LEDT instructor.
Oriental Medicine - Traditional East Asian Medicine
Our Traditional East Asian Medicine (TEAM) is a program designed to educate and certify interested members to full professional practitioner status in TEAM with an emphasis in Asian Bodywork Therapy (ABT), specifically, Shim Sin Bup (Mind-Body Method) Certifications are supported and recognized by the American Oriental Bodywork Therapy Association (AOBTA), National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM), and American Association of Oriental Medicine (AAOM). Our TEAM program consist of a 750 hour course of study which includes, East Asian Medical Theory, applicable Western Medical Theory, modalities, practical application, and martial arts applications.
